Tibidabo is a hill overlooking Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. At 512 meters (1,680 feet), it is the tallest hill in the Serra de Collserola. Rising sharply to the north-west, it has views over the city and the surrounding coastline. The name Tibidabo comes from the Latin phrase "Tibi dabo", which means "I will give you". This is a reference to a passage in the Bible where Jesus tells Peter that he will give him the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Tibidabo has been a popular tourist destination since the late 19th century. The first attraction on the hill was the Funicular de Tibidabo, which was opened in 1901. In 1905, the Sagrat Cor church was completed. The church is a neo-Gothic basilica with a large statue of Jesus Christ on the summit. In 1929, the Tibidabo Amusement Park was opened.
