Cava wineries in Sant Sadurni D'Anoia: A sparkling experience

Ok friends, it's excursion time again! This time I'd like to take you on a tour in the sparkliest town I've ever visited and the best bubbles you will ever get!

Sant Sadurní d'Anoia is a small town in Catalonia, Spain, that is known for its cava production. Cava is a sparkling wine that is made in a similar way to Champagne. Sant Sadurní d'Anoia is home to over 80 cava producers, including some of the largest and most well-known in the world.

Freixenet is the largest cava producer in the world. The company was founded in 1861 and produces over 100 million bottles of cava each year. Freixenet offers guided tours of its facilities, where visitors can learn about the cava making process and sample some of the company's products.

Jaume Giró i Giró is a small cava producer that is known for its high-quality products. The company was founded in 1983 and produces around 200,000 bottles of cava each year. Jaume Giró i Giró has won numerous awards for its cavas, including the award for the best cava in the world at the International Wine Challenge in 2017. If you visit one single place in Sant Sadurni, this should be it. The products are fantastic, the staff is super friendly and we also got to taste the cavas we were interested in buying.
