Sompasauna's origins can be traced back to the 2011, when the sauna was established as a community sauna for local residents. Over the years, the sauna has become a beloved institution, fostering a sense of community and preserving the traditional Finnish sauna culture.

A Volunteer-Run Oasis of Wellness

Today, Sompasauna is run entirely by volunteers who dedicate their time and energy to maintaining the sauna and creating a welcoming environment for visitors. This unique arrangement ensures that Sompasauna remains a truly community-oriented space, reflecting the spirit of Finnish sauna culture. Everyone is expected to participate upon visiting Sompasauna and respecting the rules is of great importance.

Three Saunas for Every Need

Sompasauna offers three different saunas to cater to a variety of preferences. The biggest sauna boasts a traditional Finnish sauna experience with temperatures ranging from 70°C to 85°C. The next biggest sauna provides a refreshing sauna experience with temperatures between 85°C and 100°C. The small "chili" sauna is the hottest one.

A Free Spirit and Relaxed Atmosphere

Sompasauna is renowned for its free-spirited atmosphere and relaxed ambiance. Swimwear is not required, allowing bathers to fully embrace the authentic Finnish sauna experience. The sauna also features a communal piano, adding to the vibrant and lively atmosphere.
